I am so excited to finally be on the verge of completing an idea that has been brewing for a long time. Very soon I will be announcing my first Limited Edition Angelic Sessions. I am not much of a “proppy” photographer, but every once in a while I get a wild hair to do something totally different from my norm.

We all know that our children are all perfect little angels, right? Riiiiiight….. Perhaps on a daily basis, their angelic-ness is easy to forget…so remind yourself, with a beautiful portrait of the little one in your life. I will soon be announcing the time and availability (which will be limited) of the Angelic Sessions…and the first to hear about it will be my newsletter subscribers. So be sure to sign up to receive my newsletter!

Showcasing an idea of what to expect….my little angels. Enjoy!

As always…can you guess the quote?
“Once upon a time there were three very different little girls who grew up to be three very different women with three things in common: they’re brilliant, they’re beautiful, and they work for me. My name is Charlie.”
Kimberly Whipps

TaraMc: These are so lovely! What a creative idea for a shoot. Beautiful work!

….For such a little one! Photographing newborn yawns isn’t always perfect. A lot of the time, when you capture a yawn, it looks almost exactly like a cry. So I love this shot…because that is, without a doubt, one precious yawn. Good job little princess!

“Everybody in this family needs to just calm down and eat some fruit or something.”

All for one and one for all – My brother and my friend – What fun we have – The time we share – Brothers ’til the end.
Having three little princesses myself…it is fun to get a chance to work with boys in front of the camera. They are so fabulously different then girls…and these little boys are all boy! Most of these portraits from this session had a car or robot in them, or just out of the shot. So much energy and joy! And then…sometimes you get to capture a sweet and quiet moment like the last image here. So precious!

carrianne: OOOH...that last picture...amazing. His eyes really tell his story!!

I’m so lucky! I get to capture the sweetest moments and watch as a family grows. This little man was just the cutest and so adored by his mommy and daddy.

“I’m sorry. This is the fun-vee. The hum-drum-vee is back there. ”
Kimberly Whipps

I think that is the best word to describe this family…HILARIOUS. And while I love them and think they are super fun…I’m not happy with them. Because they are moving to a galaxy far far away….Texas. So sad. But I am sure that they will come and visit me when they swing through Portland in the future. I sure am going to miss you guys!

“By the way, we had that water brought in specially for you folks. Came from a well in Hinkley.”

Jenni: We WILL be back to visit. And you know I'll call when we plan to come in... And of course we'll expect you to drop everything to accommodate us, like usual. Wait... Why will you miss our high maintenance expectations again?

I love it when daddy’s want to be involved in maternity portraits. It’s wonderful to capture the connection and love between mom and dad just before their lives change forever. And what a stunner mommy is!! A beautiful woman inside and out.

“This dude got dogs. I don’t do dogs… I had a real bad experience, man.”
“What happened?”
“I had. A bad. Experience.”
Kimberly Whipps

These two little ones are two of the sweetest kids you’ll ever meet. Big brother just adores his little sister! That hug wasn’t bribed, it was real…granted it lasted just a moment or two…but still 100% real. I love to photograph children at all of their different stages and I have had the joy of capturing these two since they were brand new!

“Like I always say, there’s no “I” in team. There’s a “me” though, if you jumble it up.”
Kimberly Whipps

This gorgeous family came in just after their littlest one was born. And with the help of the two adorable older siblings, we captured a sweet family moment. The moments move so fast when babies are brand new….
