Sorry for the lapse in posting….but things have been busy!! And bellies have been part of it. I love doing maternity portraits. It is just such a fleeting time for a mama to be (although, sometimes it FEELS like it’s never ending) and I love to capture the joy that each mother feels as she nears her due date. I always try to schedule newborn sessions to be done within the first week of birth…and my schedule looks all nice and neat. Of course, then these little babies come along…born 5 weeks early or a 2 weeks late and they throw off everything! But that’s okay, they are so cute, I’m going to forgive them. And so here begins the belly parade…it comes about a month before the baby parade…so stay tuned!

As many of you know…I had eye surgery last week. Three years ago, I had lasic eye surgery. In the middle of doing my left eye…the doctor said, “We can’t do your left eye today.” Then he got up and walked out the room. I’ve been confused since that day about what happened. However…after three years of only being able to see with my right eye (it’s amazing what your brain can do!) I figured it was time to fix it. So I contacted Will Vision and Laser Centers in Vancouver. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I wish I would have found Dr. Will and his staff first. My experience with this office was outstanding. I felt taken care of, cared about and safe.

I had to have the PRK version of the surgery, which takes longer to heal (and is a much less pleasant)…so I have been MIA for about a week. Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding while I was healing. I’m back to normal now and enjoying the clarity that is coming to my left eye, day by day.

And now…onto those big blue eyes. This little beauty could be her big sisters identical twin…just born three years later. Those fabulously stunning blue eyes…aren’t they amazing?!

And her beautiful big sister…a little ballerina!

You know…this weather is making me look bad. I had a client in the studio this weekend, she had just recently moved from the east, and she was saying she hoped we wouldn’t have a late freeze. Well…being a native Oregonian, I know my stuff. No, I say, we’re safe now, it’s March. We don’t freeze this late in the year…blah blah blah. Pfft…I wake up this morning to SNOW on my car. SNOW!! Obviously, I don’t know all I think I know.

Anyway….let’s move on to happier and cuter things. Like this little button! Check out this adorable face.  Isn’t she precious staring up at the camera like that? She’s a pro!
