So it’s been nearly two months! My goodness, how time flies. Things have changed since my last post, and while I have intended to keep you all updated, I have just been so busy!

I am so excited, so overjoyed, to announce that I am back home. About a year ago, I made the decision to leave my beautiful studio at the Towne Storage Building…a decision that I regretted almost from the start. After 10 months of wishing and hoping, I have returned to Loft 401. For those of you who have been there, I’m sure you remember it well. It is a beautiful, artistic and fabulous quirky building that fits me and my style perfectly. For those of you who have never been there…just you wait…it’s gorgeous! Here are some photos of it from a few years ago.

One more update…from what I understand…Facebook is continuing to make changes. For those of you who are fans and like to get Barefoot updates, please go to my Facebook page here and like a recent post. This will help to ensure you continue to see Barefoot posts on your newsfeed. Thanks!!

You may have heard rumors…and the rumors are true! Barefoot Photography is selling printed proofs. From early 2008 to early 2011, if you had a session and were shown printed proofs…you now have a chance to buy them!

So here is the dealio…

During the month of August, proofs from a full session are only $299 and those from any mini session are only $149.

The proofs will be available from now until September 30th, 2011 at midnight. However, the price goes up after August. In September full session proofs will be $500, mini session proofs will be $250.

So….you could wait…but why would you?! Purchase in August and SAVE!

After September 30th, 2011…the proofs will be…destroyed. ((SHUDDER)) Don’t make me do it! Buy your proofs today!

**THE ONLY REQUIREMENT to purchase your proofs is to have previously purchased a collection from your session(s).

This offer is good for sessions that were shown printed proofs only. Proofs are not guaranteed to be in pristine condition. Occasional finger print or bend may be present. Please contact Kimberly if you have any questions.

On April 30th, Barefoot Photographer held the 4th Annual Barefoot for Babies Fundraiser, a day of mini session to benefit the local Pregnancy Resource Centers. I know a lot of you are waiting to hear the outcome, and we are nearly there. Just finishing up a few final orders and then I can share the total funds raised.

However, the day of mini sessions was so popular, that I went over the 10 spaces allotted for the day and had a waiting list. With such an outcome, I think we need another day of mini sessions! Mini sessions are a fabulous way for people to update their walls with new family and child portraits.

The mini sessions will be held at the Barefoot Photography studio in Portland on June 25th. Each session will last 15-20 minutes and capture 10-15 portraits for you. The cost is $99 for 3 subjects. (Additional subjects may be added for $10 each.) The $99 includes the session fee and an 11×14 portrait of your choice. Additional portraits or course, may be purchased. Also, due to the nature of a mini session, newborn sessions are not possible.

I am very excited to finally announce the third annual Barefoot for Babies! Many of you already know the details of this fabulous fundraiser for the local Pregnancy Resource Centers, but just in case this is the first you have heard of it, let me explain. Each year, Barefoot Photography, has a day of mini sessions with the purpose of raising money for the PRC, an organization dedicated to helping women and their babies. As for the mini sessions, your $150 covers the session fee plus one 8×10, two 5×7 prints and one set of 8 wallets. (Over $300 value) Every penny of any other purchase will be donated to the PRC. Sessions will be held on August 28th from 9am to 5pm at Barefoot Photography’s studio -17 SE 3rd Ave Portland OR 97214. Email Kimberly for more information and to grab your spot!!

Yikes! I cannot believe it has been over two months! I have not fallen off the face of planet earth…but I feel like I *almost* did. Many of you may know that my computer and I were not getting along, and it was only getting worse. Then…while I was in LA doing a maternity session (which I will share soon) my websites and blog were hacked. STUPID HACKERS. Why do they do what they do? Then my cell phone turned against me. It was a flip phone…I know, cutting edge right? Well, I could dial out and I could answer, but I couldn’t hear anything. So I had to get that replaced. Then, while trying to recover from the hacker, my computer died….completely. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Yeah, technology hates me.

Anyway….I have finally crawled out from that quicksand and am back and ready to share. And man alive, do I have a lot of catching up to do. So stay tuned, check back often and enjoy!

BAREFOOT PHOTOGRAPHY IS LOOKING FOR A FEW MODELS!

**UPDATE** The pregnancy and sitter spots have been filled. The newborn spot is open, if you or someone you know is due with a baby today….email me!

Models will need to be available Thursday December 31st morning to early afternoon. Model releases will be required. Model release will include permission to use the images and video from the sessions. Please email Kimberly for further details.

Participants will receive a complimentary 8×10 portrait.

MODELS NEEDED –

Pregnancy model I need a woman who is between 34-38 weeks along for some maternity images. I would prefer both parents to be involved, but that is not mandatory.

Newborn Model Looking for a baby who is under a week old (Can do up to two weeks). So basically, if you are preparing to go to the hospital in the next few days, I need you!

Sitter Model I need a baby (prefer a little boy) who is about 5-7 months old. Must be sitting up unaided but not yet crawling.
